MUIR - Alban John Simon, 73, of 410 North Street, Muir, died Thursday at IOnia 
County Memorial Hospital.

H was born March 9, 1918, in Pewamo, the son of John and Mary Smith Simon. He 
attended St. Joseph's School in Pewamo and retired from custodial work at Sexton 
High School, Lansing, in 1969. He then owned and operated his own service 
station in Muir from 1973 to 1980.

He married the former Mildred Reeder in January 1969; she died in February 1991.  
Surviving are two stepdaughters; a sister, Stella Brooks of Gaylord; six step-
grandchildren; six nephews; four nieces.

Arrangements by Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir. Burila in the church cemetery at St. 
Joseph's church, Pewamo.
