Sunshine A. Simon, aged 86, of Lyons, passed away June 6, 2006 in Ionia.  She 
was born December 18, 1919 in St. John's, the daughter of Fred and Betsy 
(Helms) Townsend. Sunshine married Leonard Simon July of 1967 who preceded her 
in death in 1992.  She was a past member of Ionia Moose Lodge. She loved 
dancing, playing bingo and going to the casino.

Sunshine is survived by her children; William and Maryanne Erridge of Trufant, 
Sandy and Roger Trierweiler of Trufant, Kathy and Clyde Stewart of Muir, Pam 
Fisher of Lyons, Deb and Dennis Perry of Trufant; son in law, Dave Courtney of 
Lake, MI; Sister, Ruth and Elwin Cotton of Ionia; nineteen grandchildren and 
fifty great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Judy 
Courtney; brothers, Max, LG and Dale; sisters, Elsie, Marie, and Beth.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastor Bob Jourdan officiating.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Muir.  The 
family will receive friends and relatives Friday 10:30 a.m. until time of 
services at the funeral home.
