Simon, aged 86 of Muir, MI passed away August 3, 2006. She was born March 25, 1920 in Clinton County, the daughter of George and Anna (Spitzley) Miller. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and a 4-H Leader for 70 years. She married Martin E. Simon October 5, 1940 at St. Patrick's Church in Portland. Helen is survived by her children; Gail Ledbetter of Galesburg, Dennis Simon of Las Vegas, NV, Keith and Donna Simon of Belding, Daryl and Diane Simon of Ionia, Valery (Wiggins) and Jeff Wymer of Muir, Rene' and Rhonda Simon of Ionia, Brian and Susan Simon of Ionia, Gwen and Warren Wentworth of Ionia, Roxane and Scott Dawson of Ashley, Kerstan Simon of Valparaiso, NB, Kevin and Linda Simon of Muir, Kieran Simon of Orleans and Yvette and Rex Walkington of Portland; brothers, Leon and Anita Miller of Florida, Paul and Bonnie Miller of Indiana, George and Lois Miller of Lyons, and Lawrence and Kathleen Miller of Lyons; sisters, Joan Scott of Saranac and Florence Johnston of St. Johns; 38 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Terence E. Simon May 17, 1967 her husband Martin E. Simon March 1996, two brothers and one sister. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday 11 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ionia with Father Melvin Fox celebrant. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday 7-8:30 p.m. and Saturday 2-4 p.m. and 7- 8:30 p.m. A rosary service will be held 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
