Simon Sr., 65, of rural Belding died Saturday evening, June 11, 2011 at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Hospice. Keith was born on Sept. 15, 1945 in Portland, the son of Martin E. and Helen Miller Simon. He graduated from Lyons-Muir High School with the Class of 1963. Keith was a member of the Gleaners Society, the Good Sam Club, The North American Hunting Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding. He had worked for the Ionia County Road Commission for 29 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, photography and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was married on Aug. 29, 1964 at St. Joseph Church to Donna Kilborn. Keith is loved and survived by his wife, Donna, and their children; Donna (Naly) and Robert Thomas of Greenville, Karen V. and Ron Wireman of Belding, Keith F. and Jennifer Simon Jr. of Gowen. Keith is also survived by his grandchildren; Mathew, Cassandra, Christopher, Mariah, Jessica, Damian, Brooke and his brothers and sisters; Gail Ledbetter of Galesburg, Dennis Simon of Las Vegas, Daryl and Diane Simon of Ionia, Valery and Jeff Wymer of Ionia, René and Ronda Simon of Ionia, Brian and Sue Simon of Ionia, Gwen Wentworth of Muir, Roxanne and Scott Dawson of Ashley, Kerstan Simon of Nebraska, Yvette and Rex Walkington of Portland, Kevin and Linda Simon of Muir, and Kieran Simon of Orleans; and many nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded by his parents and one brother, Terry. Mass of Catholic Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding with Father Phil Shangraw presiding. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:30 p.m. at Johnson- Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the wishes of the family.
