Lucy C. Simons, 102, of Saranac, passed away February 27, 2003.  She was born 
January 12, 1901 in Saranac the daughter of Lewis and Caroline (Walker) 
Cahoon.  She graduated from Saranac High School in 1919 and went on to graduate 
from Eastern University.  Lucy married Ben Simons in 1923 who preceded her in 
death in 1979.  She was a member of Saranac Community Church.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her 
husband Ben, five brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Simons will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Saranac 
Community Church with Rev. John Madvig officiating.  A visitation will be held 
at the church Monday, 9 a.m. until time of service.  Anyone wishing may make a 
memorial contribution to Saranac Fire department or Saranac Community Church.
