Aug. 14, 2012 Philip V. Sinclair Sr., 60, of Ionia, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. He was born in Greenville on May 26, 1952, the son of Roland V. and Beverly (Yeomans) Sinclair. On June 16, 1990, Philip was married to the former Renee L. Manning and she survives in addition to his parents, Roland and Ruth Sinclair of Sheridan; his children, Andrew and Tanya Sinclair of Greenville, Jason and Tracy Sinclair of St. Johns, Philip and Maria Sinclair Jr. of Ionia, Sean and Crystal Sinclair of Ionia, Joshua Neuenschwander of Grand Rapids, Nicholas and Carley Manning of Ionia and Lynae Sinclair of Ionia, plus 17 grandchildren; Siblings include his twin sister, Phyllis Sinclair of South Carolina, Larry and Pam Sinclair of Fenwick, Susan and Mark Kenyon of Ionia, Daniel and Wendy Sinclair of Sidney, Deb and Jeff Sandborn of Greenville, Kevin and Angela Sinclair of Lowell; eight brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Philip was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Beverly and Harold Zayler, plus a grandson, Riley Sinclair. Philip has been a longtime resident of Ionia and was employed at Ventra Automotive Manufacturing, Ionia, as well as being a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. His hobby was building classic cars, but his first love was spending time with family and friends. Funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. will be held on Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Shiloh Community Church, Orleans with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment will be at the Sheridan Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
