PORTLAND –Age 98, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2013. She was 
born on April 7, 1915 in Portland, MI the daughter of Delbert and Anna (Budd) 
Reed. She married William P. Sines on March 3, 1935, and together they raised 5 
children. Doris worked for Lear’s Supermarket, Portland Schools Lunch Program, 
and Portland Dry Cleaners. She was a member of the Portland Church of the 
Nazarene, and she enjoyed traveling, camping with family, working in her flower 
garden, reading, and word puzzles.

Preceding her in death were her husband, William P. Sines; son, William L. 
Sines; grandson, Patrick Sines; great grandson, Taggart Sines; sister, Betty 
Hummel. Surviving are her children, Jack (LaVonne) Sines, Sally (Lee) Francis, 
Richard (Donna) Sines, and Linda (Robert) Egan; daughter-in-law, Barbara Sines; 
15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; 
special nephew, Bill Reed of Portland.

Private Family Graveside Services are being held. Arrangements are entrusted to 
Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland. On line condolences may be made at
