Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Apr 1986

Robert D. Sipes, 49, of Ionia, died Thursday, April 24, of apparently self-
inflicted injuries.  Born March 6, 1937, in West Virginia, he was the son of 
Jacob and Lorraine Harrison Sipes.  He was a welder and was formerly employed 
by Bechtel Corp. in Midland.

Surviving are his wife Priscilla of Portland; three sons, Daniel of Lake Odessa 
and Robert and Christopher of Portland; and a sister, Gathel Coal of Ohio.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. 
at Neller Funeral Home, Portland.
