All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Marilyn Ransom mlnransom@chartermi.net May 22, 2011, 2:13 pm The Belding News, Wednesday, November 14, 1917 Julius Edwin Sisco, better known as “Ed”, aged 62 years, died at the home of his brother-in-law, Sol Markley, at Eaton Rapids, Saturday afternoon at four o’clock, following a stroke of paralysis which afflicted him on the Saturday previous. Mr. Sisco had been suffering from a complication of diseases for the past year or more and his death was not unexpected. Several weeks ago he and his wife went to Eaton Rapids to visit and they had planned on returning home last Tuesday but his sickness prevented and death took place on Saturday. The remains were brought to his late home in this city, Sunday evening and the funeral was held from there Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock with burial in the Belding cemetery by the side of his mother and brother who had preceded hi into the unknown some years ago. Mr. Sisco was born on what is now known as the Baxter Strong farm and during the 62 years of his life had always made this vicinity his home. Three sisters, Mrs. Charles Luce, Mrs. Eli Hanks and Miss Margaret Sisco, survive him.
