Lyle E. Sitzer, 83, of Grand Haven, died Saturday, April 6, 1996 at North 
Ottawa Community Hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1912 in Remus, MI to George 
and Blanche (Boody) Sitzer. He married Ethel Fosburg in Ohio and they shared 
49 years together. Mr. Sitzer was a resident of the area since 1958. He 
worked as a signal maintainer 33 years for Grand Trunk Railroad. Survivors 
include his wife, Ethel; a daughter, Shirley; four sons, Ronald (Marilyn) 
Sitzer of Cannonsburg, MI; Roger (Sandy) Sitzer of Burnips, MI; Larry 
(Paula) Sitzer of Grand Haven and Jerry (Karen) Sitzer of Grand Haven; 16 
grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and a sister, Agatha Hertig of Grand 
Rapids. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude, and a brother, 
Keith. Arrangements by VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad of Grand Haven.
