                        Asher "Skid" Skidmore

LAKE ODESSA.MI - Asher "Skid" Skidmore, age 72 of Lake Odessa, went to be with 
the Lord on May 12, 2010.

He was born on January 17, 1938, in Harlan,KY to Harvey and Pearly (Garrett) 
Skidmore.

Asher married Roxie Laura Clem in 1962. they had been married for 48 years.

He is survived by his wife, Roxie; children, Grover (Dawn) Skidmore, Gordon 
(Becky) Skidmore, Gretta (Gary) Pennington, Ashley (Ben) Williams, and Rick 
Clem; grandchildren, Marcy Skidmore, Nick (Kacy)Skidmore, Gloria Hernandez, 
Michelle Skidmore, Jennifer Skidmore, Lacy Clem, Rick Clem, Jr., Janae Skidmore, 
Rylie Williams and Autumn williams; great-granddaughter, Hailey Jane Sayer.

Asher was preceded in death by his parents; infant on, Asher Eugene Skidmore; 
four brothers; four sisters; and son-in-law, Hector Hernandez.

Asher had worded for the State of Kentucky building bridges, and at the Chicago 
Steel Mill before moving to Michign.Following his moved to Michigan, Asher 
worked at Keeler Brass for seven year and retired from General Motor after 38 
years.

Asher loved to travel with his wife back home to Harlan,KY to visit family and 
friends. His passion was his children who will miss him dearly and always love 
him.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.. on Saturday May 15, 2010 at the Sebewa 
Church of God (1210 Goddard road, Lake Odessa.)
