The Portland Review, Thursday, December 13, 1956

Robert E. Skinner, 38, son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Skinner, route 3, Portland, 
passed away Tuesday in a hospital at Laurens, South Carolina after a short 
illness.

The deceased had left Portland last week enroute to Florida when he was taken 
ill and hospitalized in South Carolina Monday night.  The body is being 
returned to Portland for services, arriving here Thursday evening.  

Funeral services will be held at Neller Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, the 
Revs. Park Newcombe and C. F. Badder, of East Lansing, officiating.  Burial 
will be in Danby cemetery.

Surviving in addition to the parents is a sister, Mrs. Audrie Christensen, of 
Freeport, Ill.
