The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, April 25, 1972
William Skopec, 67, of 607 West Ellis avenue, Belding, died Monday at Belding 
Community hospital.  He was born March 8, 1905 in Chicago, Ill, the son of 
John and Bertha Skopec.  He was married June 7, 1930, at Chicago to Vlasta 
Vavre and she survives.  He was inspector for Western Electric in Chicago.   
Surviving besides the wife is a stepsister, Mrs. Lillian Hodac of Chicago.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in 
Belding.  Rev. Wilfred Wood will officiate.  Graveside services at Rest Haven 
Memory Gardens will be under the auspices of Belding lodge 355 F&AM of which 
he was a member.
