The Ionia Standard, Friday, September 10, 1909
John Slade, of Orange, died on Sunday.  He was 85 years old, and had been a 
resident of the township nearly 40 years.  Four children survive.  Mrs. Henry 
McCausey, Orange; Mrs. Frazer, Grand Rapids, Mrs. Richard Bickle, Sebewa, and 
Frank, Lockport, N.Y.  Funeral Tuesday afternoon from residence.
