Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1 Feb 1986

Keith Slater, 77, 156 Lafayette Street, died Thursday at Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Ionia County Fishing 
and Hunting Club and the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 998.

Survivors include his wife, Genevieve; one son, Robert Slater of Ionia; three 
daughters, Marlene Hoppough, Delores Cook and Velma Ludwick, all of Ionia; 20 
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers, 
Richard and Forrest Slater; and two sisters, Mary Peterson and Phoebe Geiger.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. from the Montgomery-Leddick Funeral 
Home in Ionia, with the Rev. Keith A. Bovee of First United Methodist Church of 
Ionia officiating.  Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.  
The family will be at the funeral home Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 
2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A memorial has been established for Ionia Hospice, in care of 
the funeral home.
