Ionia Sentinel, 3 Feb 1972

Mrs. Margaret Slater, 85, of 533 Howard, Belding, died Wednesday at Ionia Manor.

She was born in Lancaster, England, November 29, 1886, the daughter of Thomas 
and Nancy Dooley Beaghan and came to Belding 63 years ago.

She married May 4, 1911, to Fred Slater at Belding and he died in 1946.  She 
was a weaver in the Belding silk mills.

There are no immediate survivors.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in 
Belding.  Rev. Wilford Wood will officiate and interment will be at River Ridge 
cemetery, Belding.
