Funeral service for Berton E. Slater, who died Saturday morning at his home in 
Clarksville, was held Monday afternoon at the Wesleyan Methodist church with 
the Rev. Raymond Carpenter officiating.  Interment was in Clarksville cemetery. 

Bearers were the same grandsons who served at the funeral of Mrs. Slater last 
week.  They are Von Geiger, Don Geiger, Ronald McCaul, Berton McCaul, Frank 
Myers, Gordon McCaul and David Slater.

Among callers at the Slater home Sunday was William Groff of Plymouth.  Mr. and 
Mrs. James Valentine of Grand Rapids were among those who attended the funeral 
Monday.
