Rose Slater passed away Thursday evening at the home of Daran Lett at Chadwick, 
where she was the housekeeper.  Although she had been treating for diabetis, 
her death was caused by a heart attack.

She was born May 10, 1893 at Fishville, Montcalm County, had lived in this 
community 15 years, the last four years at Chadwick.  She is survived by one 
half-sister, Mrs. Otto Schnicke of near Woodard Lake.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 3:30 at Ellis Funeral Home and burial was 
in Woodard Lake cemetery.  Pall bearers were Carl Schnicke, Leroy Schnicke, 
Donald Comer and Russell Martin.
