Aug. 7, 1930 Roy Erastus Sleeper was born in Lake Odessa, January 17, 1916, and passed away at the hospital at Ionia, July 19, 1930, at the age of 14 years 6 months and 2 days. He was taken sick on Wednesday evening and his sickness proved to be appendicitis. He was taken to the hospital for an operation but the appendix had ruptured, throwing the poison through his system. He was a cheerful, sunny disposition and his mother's helper and comforter. Besides the parents and grandparents he leaves three brothers and three sisters, Ivan, Orlo, Donald, Eileen, Velma and Betty June. He will be missed by a host of friends and playmates. Sleep on, dear Roy, and take thy rest, God called thee home and He knows best.
