Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick church Friday morning, in charge of Rev. Fr. John M. Rockford. Burial will be made in the Portland Cemetery. Mr. Sullivan was born on a farm near Collins 34 years ago, where he spent his boyhood. In 1919 he entered the Maynard Allen State Bank as assistant bookkeeper where, for the past several years, he had served that institution as assistant cashier. On March 4, 1924, he was united in marriage to Nettie Ball. To this union three children were born, James, Gerald and Elizabeth, all of whom, with the wife, survive. Raymond is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Sullivan, and two brothers, Roger and Ronald, all of Portland. His father Edward Sullivan died three years ago. Apparently in the best of health until last fall, he then complained of pain about the upper part of his body. On November 14 he was taken to St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing where, in an operation performed the following day, a cancerous and tubercular condition of the glands was found to exist. He was brought home and on the advice of specialists went to Harper hospital, Detroit, where x-ray treatments were administered in the hopes of saving his life. These treatments, however, proved unavailing and on his return home his condition gradually grew worse until the end came peacefully Tuesday morning.
