WOODLAND- Arlie Beatrice Slocum, 95, of Woodland, died Saturday in Hastings.

She was born Oct. 21, 1895, in Woodland Township, the daughter of James and 
Hattie Bragdon Aspinall. She attended Castleton School.

She married Shirley Slocum on November 2, 1914, in Nashville; he preceded her 
in death in April, 1953.

She was a member of the Woodland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Garth Slocum of Nashville; two daughters Helen 
Karrar of Lake Odessa and Dorothy Karrar of Hastings,; 10 grandchildren, 21 
great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Rowlader and Fernie DeMond.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Koops Funeral Home of Lake 
Odessa with the Rev. Robert Kersten officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Park.

The family will be at the funeral chapel Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 
p.m. to 9 p.m. 

A memorial has been established for Woodland United Methodist Church, in care 
of the funeral home.
