Ionia County News - Thurs. May 1, 1947

Orson Slocum, 41, died at his home in Roscommon, Wednesday morning, April 30. 
He had been seriously ill of heart trouble for the past eight months. Mr. 
Slocum spent most of his life in Ionia.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Nancy and Barbara, and his mother, 
Mrs. O.W. Slocum, who has been with her son in Roscommon the past several 
months.

Funeral service was held in Roscommon Thursday morning at ten o’clock and in 
the Evangelical church in Ionia at three o’clock in the afternoon. Burial in 
Highland Park cemetery.
