She was born Feb. 7, 1996, in Grand Rapids. Brooke is survived by her parents, Greg and Lisa Slocum of Saranac and Deb and Doug Hotchkiss of Ionia; brothers and sisters, Jordan Holcomb of California, Cassie Slocum of Saranac, Daltin Lafler of Ionia, Katrina Morgan of Saranac, Xavier Morgan of Saranac and Darius Morgan of Saranac; grandparents, Mike and Mary Slocum of Hastings, Kelli Reed of Newaygo, Marilyn Hotchkiss of Saranac, Dick and Pat Hotchkiss Sidney and Randy and Kathy Simmon of Crystal Lake; great grandparents, Lucille Slocum of Wellston and Bert Huested of Ionia; nephews Parker and Logan Lafler; aunts and uncles, David (Katie) Holcomb of Lake Odessa, Justin (Brooke) Slocum of Lowell, Louie Reed of Ionia, Aaron (Tonya) Reed of Ohio, Shawn (Chelsea) Reed of Crystal Lake, Laura (Andy) Felpausch of Fowler, Daniel Hall of Ionia, Trina (Charlie) Fyan of Ionia, Patricia Hall of Ionia, Monica (Wes) VanBuren of Lyons, Thomas Hall of Saranac and Lisa (Myron) Lewis of Harbor Springs; and great aunt Dal Onan of Ionia. She was preceded in death by her grandparents David Holcomb, Dawn Holcomb, Jill Holcomb and Spencer Hall; and great grandmother Tillie Knepper. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Saranac Community Church with Pastor Aaron Reed officiating. Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Anyone wishing may make donations to My Way Fund on Facebook in memory of Brooke and Audi or at Independent Bank where there has been an account established. Those attending services should feel free to wear tie-dye or other bright colors.
