Ionia Daily Sentinel, 21 Feb 1918

Hubbardston 

The funeral of Mrs. Fred Slocum was held here Tuesday afternoon at the M.E.
church.  She died Saturday of pneumonia at their home about four miles northeast
of town.  Two of the younger children are very ill.  Mr. and Mrs. Slocum lived
on the Calahan farm here by the village for some time and they family have the
sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Hubbardston West Side Cemetery.]
