Sentinel-Std. - Monday, May 5, 1947

Funeral services were held for Orson (Bud) Slocum, 41 of Roscommon from the 
Roscommon Congregational church, Friday morning May 2, at 10 o'clock, and from 
the Ionia Zion Evangelical United Brethren church at 3 p.m. Friday with the Rev. 
Thomas Warke officiating at both services. Interment was in highland Park 
cemetery. Mr. Slocum died Wednesday morning, April 30 at his home in Roscommon. 
He had been ill with heart trouble for the past eight months.
