The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 31, 2004
Beulah M. Slocum age 92, of Ionia, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 
Untied Memorial Health Center Long Term Care in Greenville where she had been 
resident since June 13, 2001.  She was born on January 20, 1912 in Lake Odessa 
the daughter of Henry and Ruth Geiger.  Mrs. Slocum was preceded in death by 
her husband, Harvey E. Slocum on March 11, 1991.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon D. (Shirlene) Durkee of Fremont, and Terry L. 
(Skeet) Slocum of Greenville; grandchildren, David Durkee, Brian Durkee, Kathy 
Klawieter, Lisa Brummel, Terry L. Slocum II, and Scott Slocum; six great 
grandchildren; sister, Ardith Spencer of Ionia.

The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Mark Slocum at noon today at the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.  Interment will be in 
Balcom Cemetery, Ionia.  The family will receive friends 10 a.m. until the 
service time on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers the family request donations to 
the Long Term Care Activity Fund at United Memorial Health Center, Greenville.
