Ionia Daily Sentinel, 13 Aug 1960

Mrs. Emma L. Slowinski, 81, of 137 West Riverside drive died at 9:45 a.m. 
Friday in Blodgett hospital, Grand Rapids, where she had been a patient since 
July 11.  She had been ill several months.

She was born April 6, 1879 in Odessa township and attended rural schools in 
Odessa township and Ionia high school.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
George Majinski.

After her marriage to Thomas Slowinski February 27, 1900, she resided in Berlin 
township until she moved to South Ionia in 1945.  Mr. Slowinski died June 30, 
1947.

Mrs. Slowinski was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church.

Surviving are two sons, Richard and Albert C. of Ionia, and one brother, John 
Majinski of Lake Odessa.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Monday evening at Myers funeral home.  Funeral 
mass will be held at SS. Peter and Paul church at 9 a.m. with burial at Mt. 
Olivet cemetery.
