          LOUIS SLOWINSKI DIES AT RIPE OLD AGE
                                  -------------
                                    OBITUARY
   Louis Slowinski was born in Posen, Germany, Aug. 28, 1835.  He came to this
country, locating in Berlin 
township in 1860.  Here he lived until eight years ago he moved into Odessa
township.  He made his home 
with his daughter, Mrs. Jay Eldredge.  Here he died, Nov. 19, 1918, and 83 years 2
months and 15 days.
  He is survived by his daughter and family, two sisters, one brother and a host of
friends.
  He was laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery Friday  by the side of his brother
August.
