Lake Odessa Wave-Times November 22, 1912

DIED- August Slowinski, south west of town, Monday Nov. 18. Funeral was held at 
the house Tuesday afternoon, the sermon being by the Rev. Early of the Sebewa 
Baptist church. Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery. Mr.Slowinski was born in 
Germany Nov. 4, 1852. He was married to Miss Amelia Shoda in 1875; they came to 
Michigan in 1879. To them were born nine children, seven of whom with the wife 
and mother survive him, also four brothers and two sisters.
