The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, January 9, 1905
Miss Emma Slowinski of Berlin, 19 years old, who went to Grand Rapids a few 
weeks ago for treatment in hospital, died there on Saturday morning.  Remains 
arrived here on 10:23 train this morning, and funeral service was held at SS. 
Peter & Paul church, with a large attendance of sympathizing friends.
