Born May 11, 1901 in Berlin township, he was the son of Roman and Anna Krueger Slowinski. A plumber by trade, he was a member of SS Peter and Paul church, Loyal Order of Moose, Ionia Hunting and Fishing club, Girard-Horrocks Post American Legion and veteran of World War II. Surviving are five brothers, Laurence and Roy of Grand Rapids, Arthur of Port Huron, George of Portland and Roman of Orleans; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Maitner, Mrs. Harry Oosdyke and Mrs. Douglas Wertsch, Sr., of Grand Rapids. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at SS Peter and Paul church with interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 3 p.m. at Myers funeral home.
