The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, August 13, 1955


Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning in Lansing for Julia M. (Van 
Vliet) Smedley from the Estes funeral home.  Burial will be in the Highland 
Park cemetery in Ionia.

She died Saturday morning at St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing.

Subsequent Publication:  Monday, August 15, 1955

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia M. VanVliet Smedley of St. Petersburg, Fla., 
were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Estes-Leadley funeral home in Lansing 
with the Rev. Dr. Paul Morrison officiating.  Interment was in Highland Park 
cemetery in Ionia with the Rev. James Whitehurst officiating.

Pallbearers were L. W. Kelner, Earl C. Hawk, Wesley Morrison, Herbert R. Lyon, 
Robert J. Fisher and Geer H. Smith.
