Lake Odessa Wave Thursday August 11, 1955

ALVIN SMELKER
Alvin M. Smelker, 72, of Hastings died Monday at Pennock hospital. He was the 
brother of the late Frank Smelker and was well known here.

Surviving are his wife, Mathida; three step-children; three brothers Henry and 
Elray of Freeport and Orvin of Alto.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 at the Hastings Methodist Church with 
burial in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.
