Elray C. Smelker 82, Passed Away Sunday

Elray Cl Smelker, 82, route 1, Freeport, passed away Sunday evening at Sparrow 
hospital in Lansing.

Surviving are two sons, Leighton of Middleville, route 3, and Don of Lansing; 
six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Henry of Hastings and 
Orvin of Alto. He was a brother of the late Frank Smelker.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Freeport Methodist church at 2 
p.m. with burial in Freeport cemetery.
