Ionia Sentinel Standard - January 31, 1989
               WAYNE H. SMITH

   IONIA -- Wayne H. Smith, 86, of 660 N. Jefferson, Ionia, died Monday at Ionia
County Memorial Hospital.

   he was born May 15, 1902, in Sandwich, Ill.

   He married Hulda C. Kauffman in May of 1925.

   He lived in Ionia since 1925.  He was a life member of the Elk and Moose Lodges
in Ionia.

   Surviving are his wife, Hulda; and one brother, living in Sandwich, Ill.

   Funeral services will be wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Koos Funeral Chapel, in Lake
Odessa.

   Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

   The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
