She had been a patient 10 days. Born in Odessa township September 12, 1883, she was the daughter of Nathaniel and Caroline McKown Goodenough. In October 1901 she was married to Milo Smith and lived all her married life in Sebewa township. Mr. Smith died in 1942. Mrs. Smith was a member of East Odessa Wesleyan Methodist church and of the Missionary society of the church. She was president of the society 26 years and was treasurer of the church 20 years. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jessie Wright of Lyons, and nieces and nephews. The body is at the Pickens funeral chapel where service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Delores Lobdell will officiate and burial will be at Letts cemetery in Berlin township. ---- Funeral service was held at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa Sunday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Edith Mae Smith, 77, of route two who died Thursday afternoon at Pennock hospital in Hastings.
