Following a long illness, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, wife of A. G. Smith, Hackett 
Street, died at her home late Sunday evening.  She was born near Woodard Lake, 
82 years ago and spent the greater part of her life in this community.  Two 
children preceded her in death.  Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter-in-
law; Mrs. Caroline Sexton of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren, four great 
grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Anna Sawyer and several step-children.

The funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 
o’clock and the interment will take place in the Highland Park Cemetery.
