Belding Banner News – Wednesday, 18 August 1920
Syrenus M. Smith, aged 74 years died at his home in Breckenridge, on Friday, 
August 19, following an illness of some duration.  Mr. Smith was an old time 
resident of Belding having formerly lived here for a number of years.  Burial 
was in the cemetery at Breckenridge.  Relatives from here who attended the 
funeral were:  Mr. and Mrs. George Helmes, Mr. and Mrs. Del Smith, Mrs. Leon 
Wheeler and Bernice Powell.  Friends from here who also attended included Mr. 
and Mrs. Guy Russell, Ed Ramous and Mrs. Ralph Wheeler.
