F.J. Fitch, the burial following in the Balcom cemetery. R.W. Haddow, of Carlin, who accompanied the body to Ionia, and who was a member of the same Rebekah lodge of which Miss Smith was the chaplain, also spoke, and highly in the terms of her fraternal life. Mrs. Lawrence Witzel and Mrs. Lydia Storum had charge of the flowers. Members of the Ionia Rebekah lodge turned out in a body and acted as escort at the services held at the chapel and at the grave. The bearers were Harry Kennedy, Frank Gazella, W. Y. Templeton, and Joseph Rumley.
