Mrs. Sylvia Smith died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eugene Lyon, in Danby, 
Friday evening, following a stroke suffered some time ago.  Funeral services were 
held at the home Monday, in charge of Rev. J. H. Stewart.  Burial was made in 
Danby cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born in Danby and was the widow of Courtland Smith who died two 
years ago.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Peake, who were pioneer 
settlers of that section.
