Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 Apr 1929

Funeral services for the late Prof. P. Eugene Smith, whose death occurred in 
Hutchinson, Kansas, will be held from the Church of Christ here Saturday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock, according to arrangements which were made Wednesday.

Word was received by John Beattie, guardian for Mr. Smith’s affairs, that Mrs. L. 
R. Clark, of Hutchinson, a cousin of the late Professor Smith, would leave there 
with the body Thursday, and it was expected that the party would arrive here 
Friday.  Burial will be in Orleans cemetery.
