Mrs. Bessie B. Smith, 76, of Newago, formerly of Lake Odessa, died Monday
morning at Meadows nursing home in Fremont where she had been a patient since
February, 1976.  

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gaylord (Marie) Coleman of Tucson, Arizona
and Marjean Smith of Grand Rapids; two sons Richard of Lowell and Jack; two
sisters, Mrs. Clara McGee of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Gladys Rainey, five
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel with
Clara Bertrom officiating.  Burial is in Lakeside cemetery.
