The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 21, 1929

Miss Catherine A. Smith, 79, died at her home in Ronald township 8:30 Sunday 
evening.  Miss Smith was born in the home where she died and which has been 
her residence all of her life.  The funeral services will be held Wednesday 
afternoon at 1 o’clock.  The interment will take place in the Woodard Lake 
cemetery.

Miss Smith is survived by three brothers, Herman, who lived with her, and 
Henry and Beverly, of Evart; a sister, Miss Martha Smith, who lived with Miss 
Catherine A. Smith, and the brother, Herman, and Mrs. Flora Jeffries, of 
Belding, who was a member of the family until her marriage.
