The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, December 18, 1931
Andrew J. Smith, 83, of Saranac, died Thursday evening at his home of an acute 
heart attack.  He was born in Berlin township and lived there until he came to 
Saranac 30 years ago.  He leaves his widow and a nephew, Bert Wolverton, of 
Ionia.  The arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.  The burial 
will be in Saranac cemetery.
