Ionia Daily Sentinel,  7 Apr 1942

Funeral arrangements are being made for John T. Smith, 69, who dropped dead 
Monday at the farm of Lawrence Loomis, west of Belding.

Mr. Smith was born in Ionia county and had always worked as a farm laborer.  He 
had never married.  One brother, James Smith, of Jackson survives.
