Smith, because of ill health had not been actively engaged in farming for about five years. He is survived by his wife Lena, one son Zana, and three granddaughters. Burial probably will be in the North Plains cemetery. No arrangements for the funeral service had been made late Monday afternoon. ------------------- Funeral services for LeRoy Smith were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Myers funeral home. Rev. Paul Stewart officiated and interment was at the North Plains cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ray Colwell and Mrs. Thane Benedict. Pall bears were Leo Smith, Bernard Smith, William Erridge, George Comstock, Ed. Stedman and Vern Stedman. Relatives from out-of-town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stedman and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Stedman from Crystal.
