Ionia Sentinel - 20 August 1964
Mrs. Mary E. Smith, 44, of route two, Fenwick died Wednesday at United Memorial 
hospital in Greenville.  Born July 23, 1920, she was a lifelong resident of 
Bushnell township and taught several years in rural schools and Sheridan 
agricultural schools. She was married in 1949 to Alden H. Smith.  Mrs. Smith 
was a member of Order of Eastern Star of Sheridan and was active in 4-H work.

Surviving besides her husband, are three daughters, Jean, Joan and Jerine; 
three brothers, Orlo Walker of Sheridan route one, Clayton of Greenville and 
Edward of route three, Stanton.  Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 pm at 
Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan.  Interment will be at Clear Lake cemetery.

Bearers will be Roger Chambers, Loyal Fancett, Herbert Edwards, Earl Belyou, 
Dick Harriman and Patrick Belyou.
