Feb. 9, 1953 Word has been received in Ionia of the death at Marine City of Mrs. Adelaide Templeton Smith, the wife of Walter Smith. Funeral services were held Monday at Marine City with burial to be Tuesday at Albion. Mr. and Mrs. William Templeton attended the services from Ionia. Mrs. Smith was the sister of the late William Y. Templeton of Ionia, and attended the Ionia schools. She was married to Perry Belcher a teacher in the Ionia high school. They left Ionia living in other Michigan cities until Mr. Belcher’s death. She was later married to Walter Smith and they have made their home for the past 20 years at Marine City. Surviving are her husband, and two children, Esther Belcher of Lansing, a staff member of the Michigan Department of Education and special consultant for helping teachers in the state, and Harold Belcher of Jackson, purchasing agent for Consumers Power Company. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Grace Krise of Lakeland, Fla., and Jean Templeton of Jackson. Additional Comments: Mrs. Walter Smith Funeral services: Mon.
