MRS. A.W. Smith Dies at Belding

Mrs. A.W. Smith, 77, of Belding, died at her home there at midnight Tuesday 
after several months of poor health. The funeral services will be held in 
Belding at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon. The burial will be in the Woodard Lake 
Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born in Medina, N.Y., and came to Michigan when a child of four 
years of age. She had lived practically all her life in the vicinity of Ionia 
and Belding. She and Mr. Smith were residents of the State road until 29 years 
ago, when they moved to Belding. Mr. Smith died in 1923. She was an active 
worker in the Church of Christ, both in Ionia and Belding.

She leaves five children, Ralph smith and Mrs. George Gott, of Ionia; Mrs. R.A. 
Anslow and Miss Jessie Smith of Belding; Clayton Smith of Lansing.
