Portland Review & Observer - Thurs. May 30, 1994

Frances L. Smith, 69, of Portland died May 22, 1994, in Lansing.

Mrs. Smith was born in Waxahachie, Texas, July 28, 1924, the daughter of Walter 
and Minnie (Roberts) Atkeison. She was retired from Chrysler Corporation.

She is survived by her husband, Luther (Bud), of 24 years; four daughters, Sue 
(Joe) Balderson of Hastings, Sharon (Ron) Pendergrass of Lyons, Mary Anne 
(Pete) Taylor of Lake Lellanau, and Cynthia Louise (Michael) Beckman of 
Whitmore Lake; two sons, Michael T. (Sheila) Smith of Six Lakes and Mark L. 
(Lucky) Smith of Davisburg; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one 
brother, Arthur Atkeisson of Texas; and one sister, Pauline Williams of Texas.

Services were held May 25 at the Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in Portland. 
Interment followed in Portland Cemetery.
